I like Matisyahu a lot. His lyrics are very meaningful and inspirational....
however in my opinion, the musical arrangement is sorely lacking and I am not impressed with his beatboxing. Beatboxing is a completely different genre than Raggae and the lyrics are the whole point anyway!!!
I like his lyrics too.
And about Matisyahu mixing "not impressive beatboxing" and reggae. You should know he dares to rap and sing in a hasidic jew style too. Who does he thinks he is? How dare he??
I think you should sue him!!!
Tell Matisyahu you allow him to publish his lyrics, but not to sing them, coz, as you said: "the lyrics are the whole point anyway!!!".

Very funny, lol. No, what I mean is... yes he is good at beatboxing but I prefer the meaningful songs. Just my preference :-)
